El Paso police arrest 4 in alleged gang beating outside Northeast YMCA

A 22-year-old man was jumped outside a Northeast El Paso YMCA, allegedly by some men previously accused of assaulting a Fort Bliss soldier over gang colors.

El Paso police gang investigators last week arrested four alleged gang members, including two taken into custody at Fort Bliss.

Byron Ramon Stewart was left with a broken nose, bruised ribs and several bruises after a gang beating on the night of Aug. 3 outside the Bowling Family YMCA, 5509 Will Ruth Ave., court documents state.
