This is a multijurisdictional website supported by local, state, and federal agencies that allows the public to submit anonymous gang crime tips and wanted gang fugitive tips within the counties of Andrews, Borden, Brewster, Coke, Concho, Crane, Crockett, Culberson, Dawson, Ector, El Paso, Gaines, Glasscock, Howard, Hudspeth, Irion, Jeff Davis, Kimble, Loving, Martin, Mason, McCulloch, Menard, Midland, Pecos, Presidio, Reagan, Reeves, Schleicher, Sterling, Sutton, Terrell, Tom Green, Upton, Ward, Winkler, and the municipalities of those counties.

This website creates a partnership between the public and law enforcement.  Almost all supply, distribution and sale of illegal narcotics is supported by one or more criminal organizations.  While you may only be aware of an individual or a small group of individuals who participate in the sale of illegal narcotics, the illegal product is supplied and distributed by larger criminal organizations.  These same criminal organizations are often involved in a multitude of other criminal activity that negatively impact our communities including, robberies, home invasions, theft of automobiles, human trafficking, prostitution, child exploitation, and others.

Background of the West Texas Anti-Gang Center-El Paso

After the creation and success of the first Texas Anti-Gang Center in Houston, Texas, the El Paso Police Department was afforded the opportunity to bring an Anti-Gang Center to the West Texas area.  Working with local law enforcement in the greater El Paso, Texas area during 2015/2016 the El Paso Police Department obtained authorization and funding to create the West Texas Anti-Gang Center, El Paso, TX.  The center also known as the TAG became operational in mid-2017 with participation from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Texas Department of Public Safety, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, Drug Enforcement Administration, Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, Homeland Security Investigations, El Paso Police Department, and El Paso District Attorney, 34^th Judicial District.

Mission

The TAG Centers are state-of-the-art facilities within which representatives from multiple law enforcement agencies will collocate in order to more efficiently and effectively cooperate and collaborate on intelligence, investigatory, and operational activities related  to combating the shared threat of criminal organizations operating in and affecting the region.   The TAG Centers serve to connect agencies beyond physical co-location through an information/intelligence sharing level across all agencies within the TAG Centers respective regions and across the TAG Centers statewide.  There are currently six TAG Centers located across Texas.

• Co-location – Bringing federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies together in a single, dedicated facility to share intelligence and conduct joint investigations to effectively prosecute and disrupt violent criminal gangs.
• Collaboration – The gathering of law enforcement officers with unique jurisdiction, knowledge, skill, and ability to address violent criminal gangs that impact the West Texas community. 
• Intelligence Sharing – Exchanging information, data, and knowledge among TAG member agencies to strengthen our collective effort in reducing violent criminal activity.
• Joint Investigations – Working in a collaborative effort to obtain the best evidence to prosecute violent gang members and their leaders.
